Finally it's not that easy to adapt Spent in comics, the text is already very colorful and I must find ways to illustrate it without repeating myself for not finding to make images of Epinal .
I also find the right tone for graphically not too heavy either.
I was thinking of doing something a little along the lines of Julie Doucet , but whew I have bad problems inking because I'm still working on mine thumb. Here I have to find how different moods of night: - /

Patrick works hard on his novel, as always, but he tries have some fun, to find some sanity. Shovel, talking to cats, dinner with his mom, playing PS2. Or Sims for example. He managed to do his portrait. It's like, you can not find? Nice work. I think the nose and the expression of intense concentration are successful. It really makes this tune when he reads. This is serious, reading. And if you look closely, you'll see that the current fears of Patrick Sims are: fire, grow, and a rectal thermometer. His desires are: health, a tank, and a flask. That's all he wants for the moment.
